I have a measly Olympus C770. It takes relatively good pictures for my use but the auto-focus to snap speed is a little on the slow side. That makes it difficult when trying to capture the yard critters in funny poses as they move quickly.

I’m not a big techno camera guy, but do these multi-thousand dollar cameras that capture video also have anti-shake (not sure of the term) capability?

You can get lenses with stabilizers built in, there is a bit of correction in the camera too. That doesn’t mean you can shoot willy nilly however unless you have the right asa, lighting, and speeds set up. Kasey often comes out blurred in portions.
