Yep. The Libyan Jets used a Civilian Airliner as cover. Then the French Jets went Rambo, and people died.

I wonder what other incidents will be cleared up as the archives are opened and researched. We already know that Imam from Lebanon who disappeared 30 years ago was murdered by Qaddafi.

Edit: Reading the talk page discussion of the article, it appears that France mistook the jet for one Qaddafi was using in a horrifically botched assassination attempt. This occurred during early part of the war between Chad and Libya.
