I said that exact thing to my grand-nephew, who had opined that his generation didn’t wear wrist watches because ‘I have this thing in my pocket that tells me the time’.
I think I simply pulled out the pocket watch I was carrying at that point. I also mentioned that people STARTED wearing wrist watches 100 years ago, so they didn’t have to bother pulling anything out of their pockets to find out what time it was.
I freak my kids out all the time by just knowing the time. As long as I can calibrate in the morning, I can usually tell you the time within about 5 minutes.
