I wonder if healthy productive citizens who don’t have to walk into a welfare office or file medicaid claims have any idea how much of their state’s funds are spent on them for education, infrastructure, enviroment, business and trade, etc? In fact wealthy suburban areas often cost more per citizen to serve due to geography and the services they draw on to support industry and schools. Granted it is better to have citizens off of welfare but the working guys who protest they pay their share have little clue how much of their tax dollars come right back to their own comfortable communities.
