The Feds are tyrants because they tried to enforce the law. They’re cowards because they chose not to slaughter a couple hundred assholes in the process. Ya’ gotta read the news the Right way.

Also the odds are that the BLM personnel out collecting cattle were not heavily trained (or equipped) for facing down a few dozen armed men accompanied by additional by-standers*. I’m glad that whoever was in charge of them was thinking about their safety above the goal of collecting the cattle despite the confrontation.

Presumably the next round will involve Federal officers prepared for such a situation since it appears that Bundy & Co. are not going to obey the court orders.

* - Wasn’t there a remark by one of the Bundy defenders about putting the women out front?
