There’s an interesting pattern to UpChuck’s Twitter usage. It spiked up sharply in May-June 2014 and pretty much stayed there until his banishment to Tartaros. I’m referring to his tweet archive at his vanity site. Until mid-2014 he averaged a few hundred tweets a month. In May ‘14 it topped 1,000, and after that he managed a few thousand a month. In Dec. ‘14, he tweeted a bit over 6,000 — that’s 200 tweets a day!

In his interview with Milo, he mentioned he had read some book about the Twitter protocol and it helped him understand the Twitter “algorithm.” His Twitter use, he says, was aimed at exploiting the algorithm to his advantage.
