It’s no secret that newspapers are hurting. One problem is the migration away from having a newspaper delivered in favor of internet and TV sources. I prefer having the actual newspaper delivered, and as part of the subscription NyTimes has given me full access to their website.

Eventually, I think newspapers will become popular again once people get sick of the rampant bias, dishonesty, and pseudo-journalism common in many blogs, other online sources, and the news entertainment industry. In the mean time, I hope NyTimes and other respectable journals and newspapers maintain their integrity and productivity.

I still get our local paper, because they’re local coverage is in depth, not just the quick 15 or 30 second bits you get on the TV news. And nobody covers our legislature better, IMO.
