How does one sign up to the Loonie toonie party?

Back in the day when I wanted to rebel against the status quo (early 20s) I joined the Libertarian Party. They seemed harmless enough and were definitely different than the two dominant parties. However, attending a few meetings in SF quickly exposed the kooks at point blank range. Thanks to the LP, I’ve been “decline to state” ever since.
