The Roma in Central and Eastern Europe live under constant persecution by the Anglo majority population,

Anglo? Since when are central Europeans called Anglos? I know the westerners were once all called “Franks” in the east but this is new for me? Did they mean Anglo as the way the Amish call outsiders “English”?
