I agree - I don’t see the point in throwing the book at him and putting him away for life. He wasn’t a malicious actor, just deeply deluded. And he fell in with the wrong people, who exploited his naivete.

He has to do some time. But I hope the judge shows some leniency.

The train of thought I have seen elsewhere is that he gets ten years, give or take.
