My regional newspaper has a report on the Coen Brothers casting call in Scottsbluff my wife and I attended.
They wanted to see if they had what it takes to play an extra in a Coen brothers Western.
But what does it take?
Well, for this particular Western (called βThe Ballad of Buster Scruggsβ), the Oscar-winning filmmakers are looking for about 50 βordinaryβ Nebraskans β for families with children older than 10 and for women with long, natural hair and for men with beards and mustaches β to play the settlers of a wagon train in the 1800s.
About 700 people, most from the area but some from much farther, came to the theater Tuesday night for an open casting call.
