No it is not clickbait.

He has some really good points to be made. They are sound.

And they are unpleasant.

He’s speaking to a room full of geoscientists, giving advice to the young ones on their careers.

His point is that those who want to work in resource extraction will find lots of demand for their skills because the world is dividing itself over competition for scarce resources.

He’s not click bait.

He is door number 1. Inability to change his own paradigms and not paying attention to developments happening right now.

The idea that if we don’t use fossil fuels we have to live like cave men or fucking Navi form Avatar is horsehit. There’s just as much anti-science nonsense on the center-left as there is in wingnut land. It just takes different forms.
