Our last feline overlord left us 14 years ago. But I know what you mean. It’s like it can never be too warm for a cat. My brother used to live in a house heated by a big woodstove, and the cats would lie so close to it that their fur would get so hot you could barely touch it.

There is almost no limit for getting radiant heat.

I also figured out that this is one reason the one cat hangs out on the TV stand (sorta) watching the TV. Some interesting motion now and then*, generated heat, and a good position to keep an eye on me and activity near the doorway such as the other cat creeping in.

* - She reacts to basketball, cowboy westerns, birds, and for some reason David Bowie.
