I just want to say that Senator Dick Durbin is my idea of a perfect Senator. He maintains close ties with his state, including the downstate, non-Chicago part, and he keeps in touch by mail or email with his constituents. I write him him, and get answers. I am sure that he isn’t typing them into his email, but I appreciate the contact.

Of course, it helps that he represents my thoughts pretty well down the line.
