if it were an honest argument, the question should be when in the seamless progression from long before fertilization to birth, it βbecomesβ a single, discrete human life with some (in the US) constitutional rights and protections
when selecting that point, explaining why that point and not some other point.
and also how those rights are to be squared with those of the actual pregnant person.but they were never about this - theyβre not trying to define when / whether it has rights
they want to instill in the blastocyst/zygote/embryo/fetus the superior power to compel another actually existing and born human into subjugation to it, and have that power enforced by the state
Their own religion places that moment at birth, which is not convenient for their attempts to pretend that a fetus is a person.
