Ron Paul: Catholics are tired of explaining that “infallibility” means that he is mystically protected from teaching error in matters of faith and morals. That does not mean that he cannot make mistakes. If the Pope were infallible in the sense you mean, nobody in the world could run a lottery, because each holder of the Chair of Peter in turn would guess the right numbers and use them to finance the Church.
