Yeah, rent is a big problem around here, too. Comparable apts to what I’m now paying would almost take up my entire SS check. And we’re not winding up in some broken down trailer, which is the only other alternative. I. refuse. them. And they’re energy-suckers, no matter how new they are.

Also, Medicare is no bargain when you have hundreds of dollars in co-pays moldering in your desk, all demanding payment which would dig into what little I have left over after other living expenses, even with my grandson picking up his part of the bills. We only manage because I can budget well enough, but that doesn’t include some things.

And today, I must pay cash for an eye exam and glasses, if needed. Medicare covers neither those nor dental work.
