You’re deliberately misrepresenting the article. It says nothing about Dupnik’s neglect being a factor in the shooting.

The editorial merely opines that Dupnik should make no further comments about hateful rhetoric because it comes across as partisan. To which I would say, Why the hell do you have partisan elections for sheriff if you don’t want partisanship?

Why should criticism of hateful rhetoric come across as partisan?
