Original Sin is the Augustinian way of saying we are not G-d. G-d is the only Perfect being. We are flawed, we will always be flawed and that’s the challenge of our lives, to try to use our Free Will and the gifts we have been given to overcome our flaws and be whatever G-d wants us to be.

Translated: Don’t drink and gamble your paycheck away on Friday—you have a family to provide for and tithing to make on Sunday.

Islam has the same basic precept…….that only God is perfect, whereas man is flawed.

But there’s no doctrine of Original Sin. There is a fairly strong emphasis on predestination, in the sense that God knows all thing, past, present, and future.

The individual person, however, does not. So in other words, you’d better be on your toes.
