Just an hour down the freeway (or whatever they call them there), Greensboro International Civil Rights Center & Museum, formerly known as Woolworth’s. There’s also a bike shop that’s practically a museum, but to each one’s own.

That reminds me, Jones bike shop in Long Beach, that had been around since the 30’s1910 closed down a couple weeks ago. Owners wanted to retire, rent was apparently going up, some chatter that the manager(s) may try and buy and reopen in a new place. It was sad to see such a long standing independent bike shop shutter.

Then again, that seems to be in the air. The Don the Beachcomber not too far down PCH also recently closed because the building owner either wanted to sell or redevelop the property.
