A culture is no more than the sum of the values of its people, or perhaps the average of those values. This is obviously a culture whose values do not value life, or creation, or the good things of the world. This is a culture that values revenge and hatred.

We are told this is not Islam’s values, but a different radical offshoot. As a member of a religion with some repellent (and disowned) offshoots, I can accept this on one basis; prove it. Prove that Islam is a culture of creation and life, which values rights and free will. Prove it.

Have to remember, though, that all this was going on decades ago when the PLO were using secular Marxist rhetoric. Religious extremism is distinctly making things worse, but I wonder if you can define it as the root problem.
