That first paragraph in your excerpt is key, IMO. I often wonder the story behind the sex worker/porn star. Are they there because they truly want to be, or is something else at play? Addiction, abuse, crappy life circumstances and more can put someone there(I include men in this too). I also think porn can distort sexuality and our concepts of it. Women are whores who love (whatever the concept of the depiction is), men are insatiable dolts who have no self control and want nothing but sex with who or whatever is handy. I don’t know if that will ever change, but I think it would be good for everyone if it did. Human sexuality can be complex, it’s not easy to sum it up because we are all so different.
