I have opinions as a Democrat, historian, citizen. After what I saw today—as a father of two young girls—I regard the GOP as a terrifying threat to my family: a party that believes men are entitled to unbridled dominion over women. Real men need to step up in November.

Unfortunately most white men are totally on board with this: they see Kavanaugh as the exemplar of appropriate behavior and the ill that happens if women think they deserve equal rights. Nothing good will come of this.
