I think we’ve been asking the wrong question about Kushner. Instead of “why does Jared have a security clearance?” the appropriate question should be, “why is Jared a Senior White House Advisor?”

Why was Trump allowed to hire, assign, and appoint family and co-conspirators to seemingly every position of consequence? Because oversight failed to exist.
