Turkey and France are prepared to send monitors to the Gaza Strip as part of a cease-fire agreement, Reuters reported early Wednesday.

Both French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner and Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan were quoted as saying that their countries would be willing to contribute observation staff to an international force if requested.
