How the fuck was that supposed to work? Bury a few million of them and then when the tank drives over, the pressure just crushes them into firing…thus removing the support for the tank, and then it falls in?

Don’t know. He might have thought tanks were like his brother-in-law’s Bobcat mini-loader and had rubber tracks. One time at Fort Carson I saw a butterbar in a then new Datsun 240Z run a stop sign and broadside a passing M-109 155 SP. The track kept moving for a few feet, grinding the front end right off the Z. I heard later that the Army’s insurance claim was on the order of 50 bucks; for re-painting one of the roadwheels.
