There is nothing “strange” about that. Really, I’, not sure how to explain it, but it’s a “physical sense” that you develop if you are use to posing, being in front of the public, speaking, just as a musician knows where the notes are on an instrument, it becomes second sense to pose and smile the same way every time.

Stage actors do it every day, every performance. It would spook you to watch 7 performances of the same show, daily, and see the same eye inflections, the same look, the same gesture of a finger, day after day, show after show, in the very same spot every time.

I sit in a control booth watching this happen every week to live actors. It’s part and parcel of “performing” for the public.

It’s nothing strange at all.
