By turned him back, you mean “shot him”. That one ended in a gunfight, just as I expect (unfortunately) most of these to end. It was blind chance that he didn’t bleed out before being taken to a hospital. At least he gets to find out what he thinks.

(I’m still miffed over that one, you could hear the gunfight from my building and my wife drives that stretch of 580 everyday on her way to work. Ok, she and about a million other people…)

At least no cops or innocent civilians were shot. That was a blessing. One I don’t always expect to have.
