I appreciate your concern. He’s not crazy, just spiritually adventurous, I suppose, but something about it annoys the living shit out of me. When we got married, I felt it was important that we were on the same page spiritually, and we were. I am less devout than I was, but I’m still basically a Christian. The children are grown, so at least that’s not an issue, and he doesn’t try to convert me. Really, he’s the sweetest guy in the world, loves me madly, and is generally an amazing husband and father. As long as he’s not trying to sell all our worldly goods and move to an ashram, I think we’re cool.

It’s a good experience in differentiation. You are not him, he is not you, and the marriage can survive with you too being different. The less pressure he feels from you, the more quickly he’ll tire of it. You are lucky to have such a good guy. They are far and few between.
