I’m very skeptical about this story, and may have a post about it soon.

Without a complete list of the contributions from all the dealers it feels like a half-story that looks bad but could be nothing. At first glance I thought it looked pretty suspicious, but the questions came to mind pretty fast. What does the whole list of dealers contributions look like was the first.
