The notion that Ronald Reagan was the sole actor in the fall of the Soviet Union is a wrong one.

Or that internal events didn’t play a role. Chernobyl and the ensuing actual coverup by the Soviets of the true extent of that nuclear disaster did as much or more to hasten the demise of the Soviet Union as anything President Reagan did.
