WFAA here in Dallas had a morning poll asking if awards shows were becoming more political. Viewers obviously said yes.

But, performers live in America as well. There’s always been a political component to all entertainment. And, in this climate, the awards shows are one of the few venues where liberals are allowed to voice their opinions.

I remember when Marlon Brando sent Sacheen Littlefeather to the Academy Awards to decline his Oscar for the Godfather in 1973. Man, people *forget*.
