And of course, there’s also the new RW and even “centrist” talking point that “The Constitution says that the Senate shall be the “sole arbiter” of impeachment hearings, but not that it “shall conduct” them. They’re as discretionary as bringing the impeachment in the House in the first place”. (I first saw it linked to one of the tweets I was reading yesterday).
I’m pretty sure that’s weak tea, but I’m also sure that McTurtle will treat it as just that until we win a lawsuit to compel him to hand over the Senate to Roberts.
