As people get older they don’t want to… they can’t… change.

This is part of what drives the stupid postings all over Facebook. Nearly all the grumpy Trumpers are old folk.

Life in 2021 is not what is was in 1971. That is almost a tautology. But the grumpy old Trumpers want to go back to when they were children in the 1950s and 1960s.

Minimum wage is just one of the many problems we face in aligning our laws with the 21st century.

My dad worked two jobs in the early 1960s because he had a several thousand dollar hospital bill hanging over his head from my birth. So, no, not even a blue collar job wasn’t enough to keep up with a growing family faced with an unexpected hospital bill.
