The time passed because they were editing Billy Bush out, one report said yesterday.

This excuse kills me because:

A.) How the fuck long can it possibly take NBC to edit a tape?
B.) How would they even do that in this case? Bush’s dialog was crucial to establishing context and meaning. Trying to edit him out would’ve left glaringly obvious holes in the dialog.

No, they waited because they simply didn’t want it getting out.
