Paul is the guy who has boasted time and time again about how he’s against “Big Government spending” and “not taking handouts,” while he was shoveling millions in federal funds and grants to Texas annually.

I’ve actually seen conservatives defend this as “Well, the money is there, they’d be fools not to take it.” When it’s pointed out what a steaming lump of hypocrisy it is to scream “EBIL GUBMINT”, and then take the money, the conservative will simply repeat the previous.
