re: #10 blueraven

That is not an answer to the question that was asked, but keep on with that if you want.
You don’t like Hillary, I get it. But her answer was fine and certainly as good as Bernie’s.

Also as bad as this water situation is, the damage has been done. It is very different than a gas leak. There are other ways to handle it in the interim. Water should be delivered in quantity, and often to all households affected. Most people would rather stay in their homes if possible. Meanwhile they have to start changing the pipes now! They have to allocate state and Federal money now!

If you want to call someone out, how about the state of MI and those in the US Senate (mike lee) for holding up the funds. Not Hillary or Bernie who have shined a spotlight.
The republican response to this is a disgrace!

But Hillary is for gun safety laws so…

I’m not doing comparative politics here. Hilary is the front runner not Bernie. Hilary Rodham Clinton was asked the question, not anyone else at least in the debate video. HRC is for gun safety by way of ending due process by way of the no fly list. Cheap play for votes, after all in a sane moment she would have to walk back suspending due process as applies to a constitutional right. Maybe walk back to universal registration which we would agree on.

No I don’t like Hilary for President. I do hope you noticed the glowing praise I offered her as SecState on several occasions. I like her fine except I share many of the concerns about her as expressed by quite reasonable folks from the center and left. Familiar issues now discounted because.. Donald. Back to comparative standards. Trouble with comparative politics is the bar can be whale feces low and still be regarded as legit. Because… Donald and the GOP primary.

As far as calling out the state etc, I figured that’s so obvious as to not be needed. Implicit in my call for FEMA and EPA to intervene is a huge call out-Pushing state and local officials out of the response. So many things unsaid.

In a sane election phase HRC’s qualifications by way of experience would be middling. Up against those with many years more experience in the legislature or as executives such as Mayor or Governor. I don’t give a lot of credit for time in the White House as First lady by way of Presidential experience. Senate career was short, SecState is probably her biggest and best item in her CV. If Warren had run i would be lookin forward to voting her in California’s open primary.

The damage is done but the fix has hardly started. Pipes? Lets start with people for heavens sake. They can begin tests and ponder options before the plumbers can even be hired.
