re: #117 Wendell Zurkowitz ((slave to the waffle light))

Kodak invented digital cameras, but squandered the tech, because they didn’t want to sabotage their film business.

Xerox had all kinds of digital tech, and failed to adapt.

We see this all over the place, businesses that had technology and market positions, but fail to adapt to new tech, retail environment, or combinations of factors.

I expect that we’ll see something similar with digital cameras too as more people rely on smart phones than DSLRs. We’ll see a move to mirrorless cameras and other tech to get high quality imagery without needing to lay out thousands for pricey optics.

It’s amazing to see how well my Pixel 3aXL does in low light without too much fuss, while I’d have to struggle to get my Canon 60D to do nearly as well.
