If she’s talking about the remake, it’s even less believable than the original. The original actually tried to ground itself in reality and portray the actual odds of a bunch of high school kids trying to lead a resistance campaign against a well-trained and equipped occupational force.

The remake has so many handwaves just to avoid explaining the huge plotholes left by replacing China with North Korea that it comes off as childish. And what isn’t pulled straight out of a writer’s ass is so blandly cookie-cutter “action flick” that it bears no resemblance to the original film.

They think Beck and Palin are riveting speakers. Is it really a surprise when they think shit movies are great?
