re: #116 CuriousLurker

You know what I don’t get, b? The (apparently) irresistible desire to smirk at people’s religious belief systems. Have I ever once smirked at your (or anyone’s) atheism here, regardless of how I personally feel about it? The only people you’ll see me snark on are extremist assholes, be they believers of whatever stripe or unbelievers.

Like I said, I don’t get it—it’s starting to make me feel a bit twitchy.

My apologies, I wasn’t aware that I was smirking. The popcorn remark was about watching something outside of my belief system play out. Something I can’t take part in, but that I can find confusing and strange.

I don’t care what your personal religious beliefs are, I cannot understand them, because I can’t put myself in your position, but I value you as a person irrespective of your beliefs.

Admittedly, I do believe religions can be abused and become controlling and I will ridicule creationists for their atavistic anti-science beliefs. I will also take on religious evangelists trying to convert me.

Again, I apologize. I did not mean to sound like I was smirking.
