One of my darker fears for the future is the Mad Max scenario, where 10 billion people are fighting desperately for dwindling natural resources, the greatest of which is the biosphere (something those GOP candidates deny).

The track of humanity is laced with incredible brutality, all over the world. We are the most violent of primates, which is probably why we’ve eliminated most of the rest.

The future of the biosphere is not going to be decided by the GOP alone. Whether they believe in climate change or not. Focusing on them alone create and atmosphere of apathy and allows people and other institutions to cop-out and merely point at Republicans and say “it’s their fault.” There are many other methods towards mitigating the effect of climate change and the greatest one is the consumer and industry itself. There are many roads we can take and after a while, just pointing at the GOP, rings hollow.
