Carter’s 94 friggin’ years old: if he wants turkeys, I’m sure a simple online request would net him enough to build a house out of.
Good thoughts towards his healing: broken bones can be a bitch at that age.

I expect that it has more to do with wanting to still be able to do the things he did when younger. It’s hard to let go as time goes on.
