Taiwan is a real issue but I see more smoke than fire. Whats a tyrant to gain from a smoking island with wrecked factories? I think they believe their ‘peaceful rise to great power’ shtick but I worry about those excess infantry… especially in down markets.

And can we pay China to clear the boil? Continued festering will only lead to a nuclear Japan.
