Haven’t seen this around these parts in a long time, so I had to grab a few.
Everywhere else in the world except for in North America and a few South American countries and England, that beer is known as Budweiser.
There’s really an interesting story regarding how the US brewery basically tried to steal the trademark that two breweries originated in what is now the Czech Republic in the 13th Century - predating Anheuser-Busch by more than 600 years. In just about every court case, the bigger AB brewery has lost- primarily because the name “Budweiser” is derived from the city where the beer was created - Budweis. As a result, Anheuser-Busch is barred from using the name outside of what are considered its home markets.
