Oh, definitely. Some of the tech from 2001 is clearly dated, but it still stands as one of the great sci-fi films.

A student of mine noted how that flick seemingly predicted iPads and tablets. Heh.

The amount of effort they put into getting that right, too! Like the PanAm flight attendant walking down the hallway, turning, walking up the wall and out that way.

Then when they did “2010”, Roy Scheider comes STRIDING into the room like you only can in Gravity, then hangs a pen in midair. Sheesh!
