Racism is learned, it has to be taught. I learned this from my years as a preschool teacher. Color wasn’t a thing with little ones, they all had friends they were soooo happy to see in the morning drop off times. The preschool I worked at was part of a private elementary school, I tutored there or substituted sometimes, and that’s where you could see some of the influences of home show up, around 5th grade. It wasn’t a rampant problem, but it popped up now and then.
