I thinking of the Turks as a whole, not just the Ottomans, but the Selujiks as well. Manzikert was a loss to the Selujik Turks in 1071, almost 400 years before they lost Constantinople to the Ottoman Turks.

Ah yes, the Turks have been around loonger than just the Ottoman Dynasty.
