I need some advice from you cat lovers out there.

Do I add salt before or after I add the meat to the grill.

Just kidding.

A couple of weeks ago I had to have my 16 year old cat put down because of cancer. Since then our other cat has been craving attention and acting lonely, so today we went out and picked up a kitten. In the several hours since we brought the little guy home, his eyes have watered up quite a bit - it looks like he has a cold.

We probably can’t get him to the vet until Tuesday. Does anyone here have an idea what we can do for the little fellow to make him more comfortable?

Has he been sneezing or does his breathing seem labored? Does he seem lethargic, not moving much if at all? Is his nose dry or the nostrils filled with snot?

It might be a cold, but it could be something as innocuous as an allergy or adaptation to a new environment. Wait til Tuesday and if his eyes are still watering a lot, take him to the vet. Hell, might be best to take him anyway and make sure his vaccinations are all up to date.
