No, they’re bad unions. When you fix the way police are selected, trained, promoted, and retained you will have fixed the union.

I also disagree with this. Police unions prevent cops from being held accountable. Power without accountability leads to bad results, always. Some people won’t be turned to the dark side, but they won’t stay in the job either.
