There just isn’t any coherent definition of race. It’s not something that matters to anyone but a racist, nailing down exactly what a ‘race’ is.

Tends to be used in goofy ways. People sometimes try to explain to me why Israel and the Palestinians should LIKE each other by looking at me with big pleading eyes and explaining that both groups are Semites (did I KNOW that????)…but these same folks would never understand a reverse question about how both WWI and WWII could have been fought, given that Germans and French look like the same people to an outsider.
